The Lester Fricks band was formed in the summer of 2010 when two of our founding members, Glen and Tony, both wanted to be better musicians and decided that forming a band was the way to do it. The group came together surprisingly fast: Heather, Jan, and Lillianne soon joined in and the rest is (recent) history.
Our music is a mix of traditional country, bluegrass, and old time tunes, so there’s really something for everyone. Also, several of us play multiple instruments- it never gets boring. A performance can feature anything from a classic Bill Monroe song to three fiddlers playing old time tunes like Soldier’s Joy. We’d love to play for YOUR party or event- see our Contact page for more information.
We recently played for a Susan G. Komen fundraiser. Here’s a great picture of two young fans who like old time music.
Here’s a short video of a recent performance at Reno Sharpe’s Store in Bear Creek, NC:
And here’s a note from an anonymous fan in the Fullsteam men’s room!
